Description

 The present invention relates to a device intended to facilitate the tasting of foods such as, for example, crepes rolled, garnished with ham, chicken, or a sausage.

 In many bars, restaurants, self-service stores, pancakes and similar foods are sold, which consumers eat directly without cover. Generally these foods are simply placed on a paper towel which the consumer folds in half by inserting the food between his fingers to bring it to the mouth.

This is inconvenient because these foods are often greasy and the grease passes through the paper towel so that the fingers are greasy. Of

 One of the aims of the present invention is to produce an extremely simple device, inexpensive and which overcomes the drawbacks set out above, said device being disposable after use.

 The device according to the invention is characterized in that it consists of a tubular body closed at one end by a bottom and having a lateral gripping tab, the side wall of the body having at least one longitudinal slot.

 Thanks to this arrangement, it suffices to place the food in the tubular body, the latter being held by the tongue, then to prick it using a wooden or plastic stick through the slot near the bottom. of the body, said rod forming a cursor which allows by displacement, along the slit, to advance the food through the open end of the body as and when tasting. So you can eat a hot food without getting your fingers dirty and without getting burned.

According to a particular constructive characteristic, the device is produced from a blank of cardboard suitably grooved and folded to present four walls.

According to yet another characteristic, the cardboard blank has along two opposite sides a tongue extending parallel to the longitudinal sides of the walls.

The invention will now be described in more detail with reference to a particular embodiment given by way of example only, and shown in the accompanying drawings:

 The device shown in the figures is made from a blank of cardboard 1 of generally rectangular shape with two short sides 2 and 3 and two long sides 4 and 5. Pa aligning with the short sides 2 and 3 are grooves 6, 7 , 8, 9 and 10. Between the grooves 6, 7, 7 and 8, 8 and 9, 9 and 10 extend rectangular strips 13, 14, 15 and 16 respectively, these strips having the same dimensions.

 The grooves 6 and 10 form with the corresponding free edges of the short sides 2 and 3 of the tongues 11 and 12.

 The strip 13 along the side 5 is extended by a tab 19 intended to bend along a groove 24 extending the side 5 and having a cutaway 19a.

 The strips 15 and 16 are extended, along side 5 by lugs 20 and 21 respectively, the lug 21 being terminated by a flap 22 determined by a groove 23. Grooves 26 and 27 are aligned with the groove 24 and separate the bands 15 and 16 respectively of the legs 20 and 21. The leg 20 comprises a cutaway 20a.

 In the strip 14 is made parallel to the grooves 7 and 8 and at an equal distance from the latter a slot 17.

 The strip 16 has a slot 18 corresponding to the slot 17.

 The blank 1 is folded so as to form a tubular body of generally parallelepiped shape, the strips 13, 14, 15 and 16 constituting the side walls and the strips 13 and 15 extending parallel to each other and perpendicular to the strips 14 and 16 which also extend parallel to each other.

 The tongues 11 and 12 are folded along the grooves 6 and 19 to be located outside the boot and are glued one against the other, while the tabs 19 and 20 are folded one against the other to extend in the plane of the opening corresponding to the long side 5 and locked by the tab 21, the flap 22 of which is inserted between the internal face of the wall 14 and the edges with cut sides 19a and 20a of the legs 19 and 20.

 The device thus mounted can receive a hot food, such as for example a sausage, a rolled pancake topped with ham, chicken, a sausage or the like.

 In FIG. 2, the device according to the invention is shown, furnished with a rolled pancake 28, the latter being engaged in the box formed after gluing and folding and bearing against the bottom formed by the legs 19, 20 and 21.

 The device is held between the fingers, the tongues 11 and 12 being pinched between the thumb and the index finger of one hand while with the other hand is engaged in the pancake 28 through the slots 17 and 18 a wooden stick which constitutes a cursor making it possible to advance the crepe-pe so that it protrudes at the open end of the tubular body and can thus be crunched.

 It is understood that such a device is simple, inexpensive and particularly practical. it avoids getting dirty, many are very cheap and can be thrown away after use.

 The device can be delivered flat folded along the crease 8, the tabs 11 and 12 being glued one against the other, the assembly to form the tubular body being effected at the time of use by pressing the crease 8 to give the whole the shape of a parallelepipede and by folding the legs 19,20 and 21 to form the bottom.

 Of course, the invention is not limited to the embodiment which has just been described and represented. Many modifications of details can be made without departing from the scope of the invention.
