Abstract

In order to modify the sliding surface, which is generally flat, for sliding machines, particularly skis, monoskis 1, boards and sail boards, for example, one or more volumes of convex and/or concave shape, capable of being fixed at suitable points, are attached, for example at the front 5 in order to form an obstacle to lifting-off and at the rear 6 to form a rudder. Description

Device for improving the behavior and performance of machines sliding on snow and on water.

 The present invention relates to devices for sliding on snow and on water, in particular skis, monoskis, boards and windsurfers for example, but not exclusively.

 A first object of the invention aims to modify the generally flat sliding surface of the aforementioned sliding machines, by adding one or more volumes of convex and / or concave shape capable of being fixed at the appropriate places, for example at the front to form a planing bow and at the rear to make a drift.

 By adapting removable volumes on the sliding surface of the aforementioned sliding devices, not only does it modify the behavior of the devices and improve their performance, but it also solves their repair problems.

 These added volumes are preferably made of plastic of any slippery nature; they are formed by gluing, molding, stamping, for example, but not exclusively. They are fixed by bolting, clipping or by any other means.

 The accompanying drawings show by way of non-restrictive illustration, a practical embodiment of the invention.

 Figure 1 is a view from below of a monoski equipped with removable volumes object of the invention.

 Figure 2 is a side view.

 Figure 3 shows in profile and on a larger scale, the detail of the attachment of one of the volumes.

 In the drawings, the reference 1 designates a traditional monoski to which, on the sliding surface side 2, a front volume 3 of convex shape and a rear volume 4 of biconvex and concave shape has been adapted.

 The dotted curves 5 shown in FIG. 1 show the transverse convexity of the volume 3, while the curves 6 show the double convexity of the rear volume 4 and its median concavity in the longitudinal axis of the monoski.

 As shown in Figure 3, volumes 3 and 4 each have several threaded rods 7 which pass through holes in monoski and onto which are knurled tightening nuts 8 for tightening.

 Of course, it is possible to envisage other means of attachment to volumes 3 and 4, for example clips, or even a collage.

 These volumes 3 and 4 are made of plastic of a slippery nature, such as is found commercially under the brands "Teflon, Phaltex, P-tex" for example, but not exclusively. .

These volumes 3 and 4 can be produced in different ways:>
- by gluing sheets on a plastic foam bar previously shaped.

 - by molding or stamping a sheet and filling with plastic foam.

 - by laminate and fiberglass molding.

 - by plastic injection.

 It is easy to understand that the behavior of the monoski thus equipped is modified. The volumes 3 and 4 adapted on the sliding surface, in particular at the front and at the rear of the monoski 1, determine an amplified planing of the tip, where this results in a change of attitude of support of the skier promoting better gliding. On the other hand, when the monoski 1 encounters snow bumps, it naturally turns away from it.

 This simple device makes it possible to personalize the performance of a sliding machine as standard. Thanks to its removability, it can easily be removed to find the traditional characteristics and original performance of the machine, or for its repair.

 It goes without saying that the added volumes 3 and 4 can have other shapes and other dimensions and can even cover the entire sliding surface of the machine to which they are adapted, in one or more pieces.
