Abstract

The invention relates to an improvement to the control system of blinds tensioned between two drive drums. The blind 5 is wound up around the drive drum 3. This blind 5 is extended by straps 6 which are wound up around pulleys 7 and return to be wound up around a second drive drum 4. The drive drums 3 and 4 are located side by side in a single protection box 2 closed by a lid 8. Application: blinds for a verandah or glazed roofs.

Description

IMPROVEMENT IN WINDOW BLIND SYSTEMS BETWEEN TWO
The invention relates to an improvement in systems for winding blinds by electric drums, for example9 with electric control.
We know blinds systems, for example to hide a veranda or a glass facade, constituted by a blind rolled up between two motor drums.

These systems include a drum at the top of the window or veranda and a drum at the bottom.

The blind is generally wrapped around the upper drum, and extended by straps connected to the lower drum.

When you want to hide the window or veranda, you turn on the lower drum on which the straps are wound, thus lowering the blind.

In addition, a known electronic system makes it possible to tension the blind at the end of the chosen travel.

This system is generally satisfactory but has two major drawbacks.

The first drawback is aesthetic:
The lower drum motor is located at the bottom of the veranda or the blackout window. It must be covered for its protection and for safety reasons, which affects the aesthetics of the installation.

The second disadvantage is that this system requires significant wiring and independent fixing of the motor drums.

These two constraints entail an additional cost for the installation.

In order to overcome these various drawbacks, we had the idea of an improvement to the anti-back systems used.

According to a first characteristic of the improvement according to the invention made to these blind systems, the two motor drums are located side by side, either at the upper part or at the lower part of the veranda or of the window to be obscured.

According to another characteristic of the improvement according to the invention, the blind is extended by straps passing over return pulleys situated on the opposite part of the section to be concealed with respect to the driving drums.

According to yet another characteristic of the invention, the two motor drums are mounted in a single protective casing covering them over their entire length.

 According to yet another characteristic of the invention, the two motor drums are originally fitted in the protective housing.

This will preferably be formed of a 350Esd in which will be arranged the drums and the necessary electrical equipment and a removable cover.

According to an additional characteristic of the invention, the drums will be offset in the vertical plane to reduce the thickness of the protective casing.

The appended figures, given by way of nonlimiting example, will make it possible to better understand the characteristics of the improvement according to the invention.

Figure 1 is a schematic section of the installation according to the invention.

Figure 2 is a perspective of an ins'àliation produced according to the invention.

There is shown in Figure 1 a sectional view of the installation according to the invention.

At the upper part of the veranda or the surface to be protected (1) there is the protective box (2) containing the motor drums (3) and (4).

The drum (3) for example carries the blind (5} which is extended by the straps (6) rotating around pulleys (7).

These straps (6) come back to wrap around the second drum (4).

To protect these various mechanisms, there is a removable cover (8) on the housing (2).

It will be noted that according to a preferred embodiment of the installation, the drums (3) and (4) are offset so as to reduce the height of the assembly formed by the housing (2) and its cover (8).

FIG. 2 shows a perspective view of the veranda (1).

The protective box (2) and its cover (8) are installed at its upper part and contains the two motor drums (3) and (4).

The blind (5) is extended by the straps (6) which wind around the pulleys (7) and return to wind on a motor drum located under the protection (2) and its cover (8).

 This system makes it possible to group, under a single protection (2) and its cover (8), the two motor drums (3) and (ss) necessary for controlling the blind (5).

This avoids the unsightly presence of a second drum protection at the edge of the veranda (
Furthermore, the two drums t3) and (4) being pre-mounted in the protective box (2), covered with a removable cover (8), an ease of transport, implementation or inspection is obtained allowing to reduce the cost of such an installation.
