Abstract

Mechanical device for releasing the internal stresses of the railway rail structure, consisting of a motive carriage 5 running on the rails 1 and comprising a pair of rollers 2 pressed against the sides of the rail head, to which a vibratory motion is transmitted by an eccentric 9 driven by a motor 15 on a connection rod anchored on the roller supports. The carriage is driven by the same motor actuating a wheel 10 held against the opposite rail, via a reduction gear 12 and a variable-speed drive unit 14 making it possible to select the speed of displacement of the said carriage.
