Abstract
Description
The invention consists in assembling together, in an irreversible manner, by sealing with synthetic resins, the components of a floating pontoon.
Traditionally, pontoons are made, either temporarily by a heterogeneous assembly of planks, bastaings and metal beams, or by heavy structures bolted or welded on demand and requiring large flotation volumes.
The invention makes it possible to have a homogeneous set of modules which can be combined together, which can be dismantled, extended, reused and whose weight of the heaviest element is less than 90 kg.
Figure 1 shows a life-size cross section of the assembly detail.
Figure 2 shows in longitudinal section the attachment detail of the floats.
Two hollow aluminum beams of section 100 x 50 and length 3000 (1) support a discontinuous decking (2) consisting of 25 elements of an aluminum profile of section 100 x 18 previously filled, either with polyurethane foam or synthetic resin mortar to ensure rigidity. At each end an identical profile (5) serves as a bottom reinforcement.
All these elements are drilled and then assembled using 100 10 x 100 door bolts, at the rate of 2 bolts per decking element (6).
Mooring and fixing rings (7) pass through the beams at regular intervals.
There is thus obtained inside the profiles a real reinforcement comparable to reinforcements of reinforced concrete and which will play the same role.
After moderate tightening of the bolts and rings, the beams are filled by gravity with a resin mortar formulated from suitably catalyzed synthetic resin, glass micro-balloons and long asbestos fibers (4).
This pourable mortar has, after hardening, a density of 0.6 for a compressive strength greater than 600 kgZcm2 at 24 hours of drying.
After setting the resin mortar, the hot prepainted steel float profiles are filled with polyurethane foam, at 5 of their volume, tightened on the existing bolts by means of a counter plate, then stiffened by pouring the resin resin mortar.
By varying the width of the decking and bottom reinforcements and the number of floats from zero to three, we have three different modules including an access bridge without float.
The assembly of these modules together in all directions and all dimensions makes it possible to compose very varied floating assemblies which will find an application in Public and Maritime Works, for the construction or maintenance of works at sea, in the Agriculture, for the construction of aquaculture centers or floating sidewalks on swamps and backwaters, in Leisure, finally for the construction of miniports, jetties or wharf.
