Abstract

The subject of the invention relates to a sail for nautical craft, gliders and the like. It consists of the coating of the fabric by a lamination whose thickness varies between 5 and 50 microns. This lamination being obtained by an extrusion, adhesive bonding or calandering which makes a film of polypropylene adhere to the weft and warp weave, the coating being preferably of the same nature as the support. It is intended to equip sailboards, boats, gliders and the like with a floating, waterproof, light, flexible and elastic element.
