Abstract

The invention relates to the socket and the covering of the ballast of the novel 7 W - 9 W - 11 W miniaturised fluorescent lamps permitting adaptation of various equipment and creating the electrical contacts between lamp and ballast. The socket 2 receives the lamp 1 which the cap 4 renders tamper-proof. The covering of the ballast 3 is compatible and can be coupled with the socket 2; it may also be taken away. The grooves 6 permit, by the insertion of the profiled elements 5, the positioning of the socket onto the ballast, the installation of complementary equipment 7; reflectors, diffusers, shade. Various plates 8 can be used for fixing the covering of the ballast or of the socket to various supports. Other parts permit their integration into lighting fixtures. The present invention offers lighting-fixture manufacturers and users the possibility of using easily, for various usages and various functions, the miniaturised fluorescent lamps.
