Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to the exploitation of copra, in all countries where coconut palms grow abundantly and makes it possible to cut a coconut in half (with or without the husk) quickly, and without danger
Coconut milk can be easily collected trace to a hopper. for greater use
The existing means currently to open a coconut are manual, dangerous, tiring and of a poor output; example use of the cutter, the ax .... etc ... etc
The coconut shears make it possible, by simply lowering a lever, to split the nut into two parts, this facilitates the extraction of the copra.
This shears is constituted by a body formed by two flanges I the assembly is screwed on spacers example: 3 FIG.2
The spacing between the flanges allows the sliding of the two blades 4 guided in their movement by lights 5 @ sinées <300 ar relative to a horizontal axis.
The lights d @ four on each flange occupy the position defined in the drawing and have a sufficient width for the passage of a roller or a ball bearing mounted on the axis 6 (example 10 FIG.I).
The number of axes 6 is two per blade, they are forced into the blades, at each end a pin or a circlip will laterally hold the roller or the bearing
Rods 7 four in number (two per blade), transmit the force from the body 8, subjected to rotation, to the blades 4
A tubular extension 12 can be fitted on 9 to increase the force of the lever
THE body of the shears is bolted or welded on a base 13 which allows fixing on a workbench, on a base or on a chopping block, etc.
A hopper 10 made of fixed or fitted galvanized sheet allows the coconut milk to be recovered.
When the lever 9 is in the vertical position FIG.I a coconut is introduced into the bezel 2, the action on the lever causes the links 7 which, guided by the profile of the flanges act on the blades, these latter come closer thanks to lights 5 and axes 6, then touch FIG.2.
The operating principle of this shears, object of the present invention 9 is useful for extracting copra and coconut milk, in the countries of the Pacific, Oceania, Africa ... etc ...
