Abstract

Shears enabling a coconut to be cut into two (with or without its shell) by simple pressure on a lever, thus facilitating use of the copra and with a possibility of recovering the coconut milk. It comprises: two flanges 1 between which two blades 4 slide; these blades are guided in their movement by apertures 5 and are actuated by small rods 7 which are subjected to the force of the lever 9. A window 2 permits the introduction of a coconut between the two blades if the lever 9 is in the high position; lowering of the lever brings the blades together and these shear the nut into two, the coconut milk flowing into a hopper 10. The flanges 1 are screwed onto a base which permits fastening to a workbench, to a cement pedestal, or to a (chopping) block, etc.; the spacing between the flanges depends on the thickness of the blades 4, the latter have to slide without play, spacers ensure the spacing and the assembly can be dismantled. The invention applies in all those countries where copra is used; also in factories, the hotel business, and on farms using copra for animal feed.

LA présente invention concerne l'exploitation du coprah,dans tous les pays ou les cocotiers poussent abondamment et permet de couper en deux une noix de coco(avec ou sans l'enveloppe)avec rapidité , et sans danger
Le lait de coco peut être facilement récupéré trace à une trémie. en vue d'une plus grande utilisation
Les moyens existants actuellernent pour ouvrir une noix de coco sont manuels , dangereux , fatiguants et d'un rendement médiocre ;exemple utili sation du coupe-coupe ,de la hache ....etc .. etc
La cisaille à noix de coco permet par simple abaissement d'un levier , de partager la noix en deux parties, cela facilite l'extraction du coprah.
