Abstract

Jack comprising a piston moving over a thread which is not self-locking on a rotating rod. The piston 2 comprises, eccentric with respect to the centre 6 of its front circular face 5, a force application pad 7 and a braking disk 10 perpendicular to which are disposed braking pistons 13, 14 with pads 15, 16 subjected to the action of springs is fitted to the end 8 of the rod 4 which is most distant from the piston, a bore 21 between the braking pistons 13, 14, being connected, by another 22 parallel to the rod 4, to a return pipe 23 of the piston 2 produced in the said cylinder 1.
