Abstract

The invention consists of a device for the non-violent restraint of agitated patients in hospital beds by means of flexible textile and synthetic materials. This device possesses the following qualities: lesser restrictions for the patient, with no risk of injury, and ease of access for the medical or nursing professions, given them in addition a reliable immobilisation of the patient, total asepsis, low cost and ease of storage of this small-volume device.

Description

An embodiment is given by way of nonlimiting example, referring to the appended figure:

To overcome these: drawbacks, the present invention - is in the form of a flexible assembly which can immobilize the whole body and the material chosen: natural, synthetic textile fibers, allows normal and total sanitation; it can be made of any flexible material that does not risk direct injury to the skin or contradictory effect with any surgical treatment.

The device according to the invention is a frame allowing complete coverage of the patient lying down from the top of the chest to the end of the lower limbs (see FIG I)
The device of this invention must be able to benefit either in one piece or by separate elements, from the methods of treatment, from the effects intended for the treated patients, that is to say, must undergo the washing necessary for the achievement of normal aseptic (wash at: 800), or be treated according to methods of materials suitable for single use.

A variant consists in connecting the strips (T) and (') by a material, either textile or synthetic, forming a net, which provides additional protection for the entire body, the complete invention can be made from this same material.
