Abstract

The present invention relates to a defensive weapon characterised in that it includes a pistol 11 housed in a casing which has the external appearance of a folding umbrella. This casing is composed of a substantially cylindrical flexible sheath 12. The butt of the pistol consists of an umbrella handle 14 in the shape of a hook. A firing ring 21 is fixed at the free end of the tail end of the trigger 18 of the pistol.

Description

DEFENSIVE WEAPON
The present invention relates to a defensive weapon.

We already know devices called gun-rifle or rifle umbrella which are in fact rifles camouflaged in an outer casing respectively having the appearance of a cane or an umbrella. The fashion for canes is past, as is that for traditional men's umbrellas. Currently men tend to use a folding umbrella much less bulky than traditional umbrellas and which can be easily stored in a briefcase or travel bag.

To follow this development, the present invention proposes to produce a defensive weapon characterized in that it comprises a pistol housed in an envelope having the external appearance of a folding umbrella.

According to an advantageous embodiment, the pistol grip consists of a hook-shaped handle of a folding umbrella. The envelope advantageously comprises a substantially cylindrical flexible sheath provided with a cap planted at the opposite end of a butt. To facilitate the handling of the trigger of the pistol, a metal ring is connected to the tail of this trigger, this ring having the appearance of a ring intended to hang the umbrella.

With reference to the figures, the defensive weapon (10) essentially consists of a pistol (11) housed inside an envelope having, like the mon trc more preoise, r, ent the figure i, the appearance outside of a folding umbrella.

This envelope is made up of a substantially cylindrical flexible sheath (12) provided with a cap 13 mounted at the end opposite to the butt 14.

As shown in FIG. 2, the pistol II is of the conventional type and has a body 15 at the front end of which the barrel 16 is fixed.
A shortened cocking lever 17 in the form of a hook enables the pistol to be cocked. A trigger 18, the shape of which has been slightly modified, is secured to a leaf spring 19 retaining a firing pin 20.

A ring 21 is fixed to the lower end of the tail of the trigger 18. The umbrella handle 14 is fixed to the rear end of the body 15 of the pi stol and.

A pull on the ring 21 in the direction of arrow A causes the pin 20 to descend in the direction of arrow B and fires the gun.

The weapon according to the invention is a purely defensive weapon since the envelope inside which it is' camouflaged removes the deterrent character essential to ensure a weapon an offensive vocation.

The present invention has been described with reference to a particular embodiment which could, of course, be modified in a manner obvious to those skilled in the art, without departing from the scope of this invention.

1. Defensive weapon characterized in that it comprises a pistol housed in an envelope having the external appearance of a folding umbrella. 2. Weapon according to claim 1, characterized in that the pistol grip consists of the hook-shaped handle of the folding umbrella. 3. Weapon according to claim 2, characterized in that it comprises a metal ring connected to the tail of the trigger of the gun. 4. Weapon according to claim 1, characterized in that the envelope comprises a substantially cylindrical flexible sheath, provided with a cap mounted at the end opposite the butt.
