Abstract

The weapon for self defence consists of a tube which forms a gun barrel. The tube has a screwed end to attach it to a curved handle which conceals the firing mechanism. A screwed plug covers the open end of the tube. The weapon can be disguised as an umbrella by fitting it with the usual type of cover. An alternative weapon is in the form of a rapier attached to a curved handle and fitted inside a tubular sheath.
