Abstract

The bicycle warning bell has upper and lower shell parts and a clapper operated by a hand lever formed by a fork passing around a central connector between the shells. The fork is in one piece with the lever. The fork is directly connected to the hammer and returns to rest under its internal stressing. It can move between two positions limited by stops acting on the hammer shaft. The fork is made of plastics material and has a finger engaging in a slot in the hammer.
