Abstract

Tiles for use in a solar energy absorbing roof have grooves to receive a pipe containing heat exchange fluid when two tiles are arranged one above the other and have a black anti-reflective coating. This coating is now covered with an expanded silicate which has been heat treated. It gives a protective enamel coating to the tile and acts on an insulator, with little loss of heat absorption.

Description

The main patent generally relates to a tiled roof having the utility of a solar heating system, and more particularly of a solar heating system comprising roof tiles having incorporated heat conducting tubes.

The roof, thus described, looks like this
It includes tiles superimposed at their ends and laterally including heat-conducting tubes in semicircular channels in the superimposed parts of the tiles. The roof tile has a high end, a low end, upper and lower surfaces, a transverse groove of semicircular section on the high end of the upper face, and a transverse groove of semicircular section on the extremil bottom of the underside ..

In practice, two of these tiles are laid edge to edge, the transverse groove of the underside of the top tile overlapping the lateral groove of the top face of the top tile, and with a thermally conductive tubing, preferably metallic. , in the canal thus formed. The tiles are generally made of earth (clay, clay ...). This earth must contain thermally conductive materials, such as graphile metals or metal oxide or others. However, the tiles can be formed from metal (steel or aluminum, plastic, glass, etc.) with the transverse grooves mentioned above.

According to a characteristic of the main patent, the tiles are coated on their part exposed to the sun with a black coating. The present additi proposes to cover this black coating with an airy silicate coating and passed in the oven, as this gives the tile a vitrification or enamel. The milli air bubbles used in the silicate composition retain heat and act as an insulator. Silicate enamel offers almost total absorption of solar rays, with extremely low re-emission also due to the black coating.

Another characteristic of the present addition is the use of freon (fluocarbon) as a heat transfer liquid instead of water, more commonly used.

1/Il ne gèle pas ;
2/ Son utilisation est très propre.
Freon, in fact, offers the following advantages
1 / It does not freeze;
2 / Its use is very clean.

3/ Il n'abîme pas les conduits. 3 / It does not damage the conduits.

4 / It is absolutely harmless and its use offers all the security.

And above all, it reacts treks quickly to heat, which makes it pass from the liquid state to the gaseous state, giving it a very high temperature, and a pressure which allows it to circulate in closed circuit, without the need of a pump (thermosiphon system).

The gaseous freon escapes from the roof by the tube which leads it into a heat transformer supplied with water for domestic sanitary or heating needs, giving up its heat in the transformer, the freon becomes liquid again and is pushed towards the roof by the pressure of gas freon escaping.

Of course, if desired for various needs, the installation can be more sophisticated.
