Abstract

The pump has a cylindrical casing with an integral base and a bolted top cover. Two vanes (8,9) are free to rotate in bearings contained in the base and cover. The vertical edges of the vanes rotate in close proximity to the inside cylindrical surface of the casing. An eccentric rotor (7) is rotated by an operating handle, with the help of a small flywheel. The vanes locate in slots in the rotor. Fluid is induced through the inlet (10) and discharged through the branch (11). A priming connection (12) is provided to start the pump.
