Abstract

The appts. has a current generator such as a battery with a transistor current amplifier and a circuit breaker. A plastics body (10) is designed to be hand held and different electrodes may be mounted in it depending on the type of treatment required. The circuit breaker consists of an articulated lever (11) on the plastic body which makes contact with a ring-shaped electrode (12) when the device is held in the hand. The state of change of the battery is monitored by a series connected electric bulb (18) and a pushbutton switch (13). One of the interchangeable treatment electrodes (14) is terminated by a sponge roller increased effectiveness of cosmetic products by ionophoresis.
