Abstract

The surgical instrument for transplanting hair into a scalp comprises a truncated conical section (1) which narrows from top to bottom and is connected to a cylindrical section (2) having a chamfered end. A handle (4) extends from the conical section allowing a transplanted hair root placed in the cylindrical section to be introduced into a cavity in the scalp the instrument being withdrawn, leaving the hair root in place.
