Abstract

The table receives metal bars, providing for their support during cutting and sorting operations, and is mounted on two jacks (5,6). The fixed parts of the jacks are rigidly connected to the sub-structure (1), the heads (9) of their movable rods (7,8) locating horizontal axles (10) sliding in rails (12,13) fixed beneath the table top (14). The table is stabilised by pin-jointed (17-20) braces (15,16) extending between the table top and the substructure on opposite sides, the axle ends being mounted on rollers which run along the rails. This permits tilting of the table in either direction to dispatch cut work or waste respectively.
