Abstract

The light fitting has head which holds an electric light bulb and has provision for fixing to a support. The fitting (1) has a threaded hole (101,102) in both top and bottom, threaded with the same pitch and diameter. One hole has the support screwed in at either top or bottom for pendant or standard mounting. A threaded insert (32) is screwed into the unused hole to block the light from the hole. The bulb is fitted into the socket (4) at the end of the support. A hood (12) is affixed to the housing (11) by providing the former with a male screw thread. Fixing bolts are provided inside the housing and have a sufficiently large height to simultaneously block the hood (12) against the housing (11) and attach a connecting tube.

Lantern according to any one of claims 1 and 2, characterized in that the head (1) is provided at its lower and upper parts with two respective orifices (102, 101) (102, 122) threaded to the same diameter and at the same pitch, adapted to receive a threaded closure member (3) and a connection member (2) (5) threaded mounted indifferently in any of the two orifices, one of the ends (21) (52) of said connecting member projecting outside of said head (1).

Lantern according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that it comprises a head (1) provided with a shutter member (3) and a connecting member (2) by means of joining, said connecting org @ ne @ being constituted in the form of a tube threaded externally at at least one of its ends (21) to be screwed into one of said orifices (101, 102) of the head, said threaded tube carrying said support such as an electrical socket (4) at its other end.

Lantern according to any one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that it comprises a head (1) provided with a shutter member (3), with a connecting member (5) by means of fastening, said connecting member being constituted in the form of a net tube externally at its two ends (51, 52) to be screwed by one of them into an orifice (122) of the head, l another projecting outside of said head, and an organ (2) inside the head and carrying the support (4) such as a socket, said member carrying the support being constituted in the form of an externally threaded tube at at least one of its ends (21) to be screwed into a nut (III) of the head, the other end (22) carrying said support such as a socket.

6. Lantern according to any one of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that it comprises a housing (11) provided with a cap (12,12 ') in two parts, at least one of the parts forming the cap being formed in the form of a threaded tube (12 ') screwed into a nut (111) of the housing (11).
