Abstract

A panty-napkin for infants or incontinents comprises an hour-glass-shaped absorbent pad attached to an impervious outer cover having means of fastening the garment around the waist of the wearer. Around the outside of the impervious cover is at least one fastener whereby the garment can be attached to other clothing such as a vest, to prevent the napkin from slipping down in wear. The fastener pref. comprises an adhesive strip covered by a protective tape having low adhesion which is pulled off to reveal the adhesive strip when ready for use.

Description

 The invention relates to a diaper for a child or an incontinent patient comprising at least one absorbent cushion, a protective part impermeable to liquids covered on one side of this cushion, and fixing means for closing the diaper for use.

 Such diapers are known and customary in the trade. They have the advantage that, due to the high absorption capacity of their absorbent pad, they can receive considerable quantities of discharged liquids. However, this desired quality is linked to a drawback residing in that a significant increase in weight of the pants occurs, which has the consequence that it slides on the person. This slippage may well be prevented by tightening the diaper more tightly to the belt. Nais, i cella opposes the fact that it is then compressed, and this pressure must naturally be avoided.

 The object of the invention is to produce a pantyhose of the type described above, which can be ensured against sliding.

 For this purpose, the diaper according to the in vention is characterized in that, on the face of the impermeable piece opposite the absorbent pad, is arranged at least one holding piece which is intended to fix the diaper to a piece of the user's clothing.

 According to one embodiment of the invention, the retaining piece is constituted by a surface of adhesive material which is applied by its entire surface to the face of the impermeable piece opposite the absorbent pad and which, in the event of non-use , is covered with a protective strip weakly adherent to the holding part.

The invention is explained below using an embodiment with reference to the accompanying drawings in which:

The diaper shown in Figure 1, by way of example, has, in the flat spread state, the shape of an hourglass. The invention however extends to any other shape, for example rectangular, spread or folded shape
The diaper consists of an absorbent pad I, a part impermeable to liquids 2 and another part permeable to liquids, which is not visible in FIG. 1, because it is located on the rear face of the drawing. In addition, the diaper further comprises a fastening device 3 intended to close it for use. The fixing means are generally made up of adhesive strips.

 The absorbent pad 1 consists of a relatively lich pack of cellulose flakes or the like. it is also known to constitute it with several superimposed layers of cellulose sheets or the like. The liquid-impermeable part 2, which is arranged on the rear surface of the pants, generally consists of a sheet of polyethylene or other known interchangeable material.

However, it is also possible to provide several adhesion points of any shape and number. In contrast, belt fastening means 3, the holding locations 4 are surfaces of adhesive fabric which are applied with their entire surface on the side of the waterproof sheet remote from the absorbent pad. In addition, in a manner known for such fixing means, they are covered, when not in use, by a protective strip of weaker adhesion.

 Figure 2 is a front elevational view of the diaper. In the example shown, the adhesion holding location 4 corresponds to that shown in FIG. 1. advantageously be provided all around the body.

 Figure 3 shows the use of the panty liner according to the invention. The holding location 4 has then been released from the protective strip or film, and it is fixed by gluing to a covering piece 6 of the user, for example a shirt or the like. In this way, the pants are held as a whole and do not risk slipping.

RESELL i C AT iONS  1.- Diaper for a child or an ill patient, comprising at least one absorbent cushion, a protective part impermeable to liquids covering one side of this cushion, and fixing means for closing the diaper on the user, diaper- pants characterized in that, on the face of the part impermeable to liquids (2) remote from the absorbent pad (1), is arranged at least one holding location (4) intended to fix the diaper to a piece of clothing ( 6) of the user.  2. Diaper according to claim 1, characterized in that the holding location (4) consists of a piece of adhesive material, which is applied, with its entire surface, on the face of the waterproof piece (2) distant from the cushion (1) and which, when not in use, is covered with a protective strip (5) more loosely adhered to the holding part (4).
