Abstract

The direct heating circuit uses 50 mm diameter tubes in the hearth, on the back wall of the fire leading down to the fresh air inlet. Fresh air enters the pipework via a plastics tube which has a ventilator at its outside end, the ventilator accelerating the circulation of the air in the heated flow. A void regulates the flow which leads to a large diameter horizontal tube which in turn distributes the heated air through the house and the horizontal tube has shutters at either end, to allow the warm air flow to be switched on or off.

Description

The present invention relates to a type of heating, making it possible to recover approximately 90% of the heat of a fireplace hearth.

In known devices of this kind, it is per-is to recover the heat which leaves in the fumes, passing through an apparatus which eliminates the latter, but gives only a mediocre result. Others consist in transforming the hearth into central heating, which requires a major transformation of the installation and in-depth knowledge.

The invention that I propose allows both to recover a maximum of heat taken from the heart of the home and to send it into the house with a minimum of work that can be done by a person with no special knowledge of heating central.

For the realization, it is necessary to obtain drawn steel tube, ie without welding, of # 50 mm or approaching, cut according to figure 1 to 450 (2): the tube 1 forming the bottom of the hearth, the tube 3 forming the hearth proper, and the tube 4, return which will seek fresh air either in the basement, or in the crawl space.

When these tubes are assembled, for example with arc welding, make 12 on the same model and assemble them as in Figure 2, which gives a hearth of 0.60 m wide, the length of the pipes being related to the size of the chimney. Once all the tubes are welded to each other, put on them as shown in Figure 2 a steel pipe of 8 100 mm 5, welded on the tubes 1, intended to recover the heat. This pipe coming from each side of the chimney with a small shutter which one closes at will according to the needs of heat. If necessary, you can add a hose 6 of # 50 mm to the recovery hose 5 to heat an upper stage, with also a shutter for possible closure.

According to Figure 3, the device being placed and seen in section, the tubes 4 plunge into a vacuum 8 which has been made in the ground 10 (or the ceiling if you are on the first floor), this vacuum being supplied with fresh air coming from outside by a plastic pipe 9 of minimum # 100 mm, at the end of which we will put a very fine grid which will avoid dust. We can also put a small fan which will supply fresh air at the start of heating. It can then be stopped, the superheated air in the tubes will draw sufficient air.

On the other hand, the tube 5 is embedded in a block of masonry called counter-heart 7, intended to prevent the fresh air 12 descending in the chimney from repelling the rising smoke and to make it rise with it between the outlet 13 and wall 11 which constitutes the bottom of the chimney.
