Abstract

The water-tight joint is formed between two steel sheets meeting at right angles such as at the apex of a roof. Each sheet has a seam along its length. A folded clamping plate has a cut on one side so that it can fit over the steel sheet in a scissor fashion. A cover joint fits over the assembly and snaps into position over the seam and the edges of the clamping plate. This joint element has two right-angles elements with their free ends having inwardly directed right-angled flanges.
