Abstract

Parent patent describes compsns. for prophylactic or curative treatment of acid demineralisation of tooth tissue (dentine or enamel); of bone demineralisation, and of excessive acidity (e.g. in the stomach) which are based on insoluble, inorganic carbonates (A). In this addn. (A) are formulated as solns and/or suspensions in CO2-satd. water, partic. in spraying bottles for direct spraying into the mouth (esp. onto the teeth).

Description

 The present invention is in the field of compositions intended for the prophylactic and curative treatments of acid demineralization disorders of highly mineralized tissues of the tooth: dentin, enamel; as a consequence, it also indirectly concerns disorders of the acidity of moods (stomach, among others) and bone demineralization disorders.

 The present invention refers to a previous patent application of the same Applicant, registered under number 80 24080 which relates to compositions intended for the above use, based on insoluble mineral carbonates.

 According to the present invention, a composition intended for the abovementioned purposes is characterized in that it comprises in aqueous solution on the one hand carbonic acid, on the other hand one or more metallic carbonates, in particular one or more of the mineral carbonates targeted in the previous request. Preferably the carbonic acid content of the solution will be high thanks to the keeping under pressure of the carbonic atmosphere above the solution.

More preferably still, the metal carbonates will be present at least at saturation in the solution; advantageously even they will be present in this solution in powder form, finely ground and / or precipitated.

 Such a composition will advantageously be used by direct projection in the mouth, and preferably on the teeth, using for this the pressure developed by carbon dioxide, and a spray bottle of known type.

Example of implementation of the invention:
In a spray bottle, also called a spray bottle or "bomb", carbon dioxide (C02) is dissolved in water at the rate of one to ten liters of gas per liter of water and this under pressure compatible with the bottle, namely from one to several times the spherical atmospheric pressure.

 In the same bottle, the carbonate powders such as for example the mineral carbonates described in the above-mentioned application are dissolved to saturation, namely: calcite, magnesite, siderite, etc. and / or any other carbonate obtained by precipitation. By saturation is meant even the largely excess presence of the powders of these carbonates.

 As another relatively easy example of implementing the invention, an amount of carbonate powders above will be introduced into a spray bottle comprising a safety valve calibrated to the safety value of the bottle. targeted, largely in excess to produce saturation of carbonates in carbonated water, and a dry ice pellet; the equilibrium of these components will be obtained by shaking the bottle while letting the excess gas escape.

 It should be understood that the present invention is not limited to the use of the natural mineral carbonates described in the above-mentioned application1 but that it means the use for the aforementioned purposes of all carbonates in solution and / or in suspension in water of carbonate acid.
