Abstract

The seedling box is made up of two halves, one of which (1) is in the form of a rectangular parallelepiped which has no base. This part has two long sides which are perforated and one short side. We have been able to buy for a few years young trees, about 3m high, in 20-liter plastic bucket species. Successfully developing root systems as powerful in this reduced volume is a remarkable novelty. the growth in the open ground of such a tree will often be bad because there will be transplant shock due to the fact that we will have pulled on the stem to remove the container and the fact that the lateral roots and those of the bottom will be brutally put in contact with a much less favorable, sometimes dry, environment.

 For watering plants in depth, we offer different methods and models: pipes plugged at the bottom with small side openings, pointed plastic cylinders at the bottom (planter type) intended to be inserted in the middle of the roots, recovery glass bottles closed by a fabric plug, sunken upside down in the middle of the roots and emptying in one or more: weeks maintaining constant humidity.

 Your possibilities offered by the recovery of food containers are not sufficiently exploited, in France at least. It is up to the manufacturer of food products to organize such recovery by notifying it on its packaging.
