La présente invention a pour but de mettre au point un appareil qui permet de déshydrater et de récupérer rapidement et économiquement les produits volatils de tous les corps organiques animaux et végétaux. Son principe fondamental consiste à chauffer la matière à traiter en vase clos calorifugé, constamment réchauffé en y injectant de la sapeur d'eau chaude sous pression et en faisant détendre cette vapeur ainsi que celle qui provient de la matière dans un condenseur.D'autre part, la vapeur chauffante est continuellement fournie au réservoir de traitement, d'un bout à l'autre de l'opération, sous la forme de vapeur d'eau surchauffée sèche engendrée par un générateur composé d'un faisceau de tubes et d'un ou de plusieurs réservoirs de charge plongés dans une chaudière contenant de l'huile minérale chauffée à la pression atmosphérique entre 200 et 25CPC.
