Abstract

The clamping-jaw, adapts with positive location on parallel vices of different types. The fitting can be used with parallel table vices, with drilling vices and with joinery vices with a common jaw width. It may comprise a housing made by welding a square angled 'U' shaped plate to the rear of the clamping jaw. Two countersunk holes may be provided in the top wall together with a threaded hole in each side wall, and the fitting houses onto an existing jaw.

Description

 The present invention relates to the clamping jaws adaptable to the parallel vice of workbenches, the vice of drills.

 Machine vices and other foot vices.

 In known devices.

 We know on the one hand striated jaws adaptable by screwing on a parallel bench vice.

 There are known clamping jaws adaptable by screwing on a drill vice.

 There are known clamping jaws adaptable by screwing on a machine vice.

 A vice is known on foot whose jaws do not carry jaws.

 Magnetic jaws are known which can be adapted to permanently fixed jaws.

 Sliding jaws are known on jaws permanently fixed.

 However, all of these known jaws have drawbacks.

 Among other things, it is not possible to fix in a efficiently maintained position a jaw vice of parallel workbench on a drill vice.

 On a machine vice.

 On a vice on foot.

 And vice versa, you cannot fix an instant machine vice jaw in the effioecnent maintained position on a parallel workbench vice. On a foot vice, on a drill vice.

 The present invention aims to remedy these drawbacks.

 Indeed, with the new device, it can be adapted to the position instantly maintained effectively.

 The same jaw on a parallel bench vice, on a drill vice on a machine vice, on a foot vice or other parallel clamp having the same jaw width or the same jaw width.

 The universal jaw carries an incorporated means intended for instantaneous fixing and in the effectively maintained position of the jaw on another jaw permanently fixed to the vice on a jaw of the same width.

 The means is a closed frame on three sides fixed by welding on the rear face of the jaw.

 The device allowing the positioning of the jaw by pressing on the upper part of the jaw permanently fixed to the vice where the positioning of the jaw by pressing on the upper part of a vice jaw.

 Other information will be given in the description which follows with supporting drawings.

 1 shows a serrated jaw adaptable in position permanently on a parallel bench vice not shown in the drawings.

 2 represents a jaw with vertical toothing which is a jaw which can be adapted to a vice clamping tube with double chain. This jaw 2 has been modified by adaptation on its rear face of a three-sided frame represented by a flat iron 3 bent at its two ends at 5 and 6 llensemble assembled by welding 4 on the outer periphery. 2 countersunk head holes are arranged on the upper part.

 2 tapped holes 8 are each arranged on a bracket, the tapped holes each carry a machine screw 7 intended for blocking the jaw on the vice on each side.

 The description being made, let's move on to the instructions.

 By way of example only and to make the invention easier to understand, a few dimensional figures will be cited. We take a parallel vice of workbench carrying 2 jaws 1 of width 150 dimension. I take my jaw 2 which has an interior dimension of 150m and I adapt my jaw 2 by simple installation on a jaw 1 fixed permanently on the vice. I tighten my screws 7 on the side of the jaws of the vice and the jaw 2 is fixed.

 The installation and the fixing were instantaneous.

 Then I remove my jaw 2 from the parallel vise of the workbench and I take a drill vice with jaw width 150m and I repeat the same operation of positioning and fixing as for the parallel vice.

 Then I remove my jaw 2 from the vice of drill and I take a vice of machine of width of jaw 150 and I reoc'nenoe the irone operation of installation of the jaw 2 then I remove the jaw 2 of the machine vice and I take a foot vice 150m jaw width and I repeat the same operation of positioning and fixing as for the other vice.

 It should be noted that the two holes 11 arranged on the upper transverse part are intended to receive machine screws with countersunk heads which can possibly be screwed into tapped holes fixed on the upper jaw of the vice. It is obvious that the jaw 2 with vertical toothing could be replaced by any other jaw equipped with the same fixing device, for example a jaw with a smooth surface, or a jaw with a prismatic surface or the like.

 Obviously, the invention is not limited to the description with supporting drawings and can undergo any transformation of details without harming the spirit of the invention.

 We could cut in the mass part of the frame on three sides for example the upper part and adapt on the sides the welded sides.

 We could use plastic or other jaws.

 The jaws described can be used by all holders of vices and can be particularly useful in mechanical assembly workshops

Claims (4)

 1. Device allowing the training of a clamping jaw on a parallel vice, characterized in that it comprises an incorporated means intended to allow its instantaneous adaptation in the position effectively maintained on parallel vices of different constructions comprising inter alia: parallel bench vice, drill vice, machine vice, foot vice, carpenter's vice. Jaw width of jaws or clamping jaws.  2. Device according to claim I, characterized in that the means intended to allow the instantaneous adaptation of the jaw in the effectively maintained position of the jaw on a parallel bench vice, on a drill vice, on a machine vice, on a vice on foot. The same width of jaws or clamping jaws is a simple frame with three sides added by welding on the rear face of the jaw.  3. Device according to claim 2, characterized in that the frame has 2 brackets and 2 countersunk head holes on its upper part.  4.
