Abstract

The two-stroke engine exhaust silencer is for a motorcycle, having one portion determining the power and the other reducing the noise, its wall being cylindrical. The noise- reduction portion (2) is double-walled, having a cylindrical internal component (4) of smaller diameter. The intervening space between this and the outer wall (3) can be packed with insulating material (5), and it can have apertures (6) at intervals over its entire length. All components forming part of the noise-reduction portion can be fixed to this internal component, and arranged so that they can be fitted together with it.
