THE TECHNICAL PROBLEM POSED CONSISTS OF PROVIDING SUCH A SMALL DIAMETER TUBE, IN ALUMINUM, MANUFACTURED DIRECTLY TO A VERY SMALL DIAMETER, BY CONFORMING TO A BAND AND WITHOUT REQUIRING A FURTHER STRETCHING OPERATION. FOLLOWING THE INVENTION, THE TUBE IS SHAPED BY WINDING A BAND IN TUBULAR SECTION INCLUDING AT LEAST TWO SPIRES, THE JUNCTION ZONE LOCATED AT THE LEVEL OF THE EDGES OF THE TWO SPIRES BEING COUNTERBENT WITH AN AMPLITUDE EQUAL TO THE THICKNESS OF THE TAPE, BOTH LAYERS BEING WELDED OVER THEIR ENTIRE SURFACE. THE MAIN USE OF THE INVENTION IS IN THE MANUFACTURE OF SMALL DIAMETER ALUMINUM TUBES AT A VERY LOW COST.
