Abstract

The case accommodates cards of electronics held between guides and plugged into a mother board. The guides are formed by ribs in opposite walls of the case. The ribs in the walls are provided with air spaces for ventilation and a grille in the base allows air to flow. The case is made from a lower U-shaped piece with an interlocking lid held in place by screws and a hinged front. Card guides interlock with the walls of the case and are slid into place. A mother card at the back of the case is held between ridges and circuit cards are plugged into it at right angles. Connectes are taken from the mother card by ribbon cables to a rear wall held between slides parallel to the mother card or to a power supply unit located between the same guides. The guides are held together and blocked by a moulded webbing which must be cut at the front to use the guides for card mounting leaving the web between neighbouring guides.
