Abstract

The appts. is suitable where distributed lighting without shadows is required. The strip has a very low overall geometry and is both supported and electrically interconnected by a PCB. The light emitting source consists of a series connected line of short tubular filament lamps with a connection stud at each end. The studs are held within spring clips held on the PCB by rivets which also ensure electrical connection to the clips by contacting the metallised undersurface. Connection to the strip is by sockets etc. at both ends. Double sided adhesive tape laid over the PCB lower surface allows the strip to be set in position and also provides protection for the metallising.
