Abstract
On the horizontal axis of the barrel is a steel bar which conducts electricity; and a row of cathode bars are suspended freely on the bar in the manner of pendulums. Bar pref. has a polymer sheath so it is protected against corrosion; and the cathode bars are pref. sepd. from each other by tubular spacers located on bar. One end of the bar is pref. fixed to a check supporting the barrel; and the pendulum bars can pref. be used in all types of electrolytic tanks with the aid of ball and socket- or swivel-joints. The pendulum cathode bars extend downwards into the bulk workpieces in the barrel to make efficient electrical contacts; and the barrel may contain vertical partitions used to keep small bathces of different parts sepd. from each other.
