Abstract

The spectacle frame enables lenses to be replaced by the user. They have two non closed circles (2,3) joined by a front bridge piece (9) and a nose rest (4). These are joined by an adjuster (7,10,11) which varies the diameter of the circles holding the lenses (21,22). The adjuster has a boss (7) in a housing (8) on the bridge piece. The boss has a shoulder supporting a milled nut (10) moving a screw (11) in a boss (12) on the nose rest. The ends of the boss and the screw (11) are moulded to the bridge piece and nose rest.
