Abstract

The one-piece plastic securing strip has a flexible portion (4) with teeth (6) on its surface and a locking assembly (16) with a slot (20) in which the free end (8) of the portion can be inserted to form a loop. The slot is bounded by a base (22), two lateral sides (24) and a ratchet claw (26) which is integral with, and swivelably movable relative to, the sides (24). The claw (26) has a tooth (30) to locate between teeth (6) and a grip (32) to move the claw to engage or disengage the tooth (30). It also has a rigid portion (34) which is rigidly connected with the sides (24) and arranged such that, when grip (32) and portion (34) are pressed together, the tooth (30) disengages from the teeth (6).
