Abstract

The sanitary module (1) has a shower cubicle (2) and toilet cubicle (3), the cubicles being separated by a small upstand (9) and flexible curtain (10). When the shower is used, most of the waste water will go direct to a shower drain (12) but sometimes folds in the curtain allow water to escape over the top edge of the upstand (9) into the toilet cubicle. All the water, together with any other water on the floor of the toilet cubicle, is collected by a drain (14) running along the separator (9) from which an opening leads down beneath the separator into the shower drain (12).

Description

The present invention relates to sanitary blocks manufactured in the factory and delivered fully assembled and equipped to customers who only have to make the necessary connections.

Such sanitary blocks are generally formed by an envelope of synthetic material, such as polyester, delimiting two enclosures, in one of which is installed a shower, while the other enclosure forms a bathroom and, for this purpose, comprises a sink, a toilet bowl, etc ...

These two enclosures can be separated by a flexible curtain and, on the floor side, a protruding rim separates the shower tray from the bathroom floor.

The separation curtain has a length such that it descends lower than the upper edge of the protruding rim, so as to ensure a good seal when a person takes a shower like this, the water which could spur towards the the bathroom slides along the curtain and falls into the shower tray to be discharged to the outside and the bathroom floor remains dry. However, because of its very flexibility, it may happen that the lower part of the drawn curtain is on the side of the protruding edge, directed towards the bathroom. In this case, the water flowing on the separation curtain spreads on the floor of the bathroom and must be wiped off, since there is no evacuation in the floor of the latter.

The object of the present invention is to remedy this drawback.

To this end, according to the invention, the toilet block ready to be connected and comprising an envelope delimiting a shower cabinet and a toilet, separated from the side of the floor by a projecting ledge and capable of being isolated one on the other by a flexible curtain, the floor of said shower cabinet being provided with a water drainage culvert, is remarkable in that, the bathroom floor is provided with a depression whose bottom comprises at minus an evacuation opening connected to the culvert of the shower cabinet by an evacuation duct passing under said rim.

Thus, the water likely to reach the floor of the bathroom can easily be evacuated by means of said depression of the evacuation duct and the culvert of the shower cabinet. In addition, it is not necessary to provide an additional connection.

Preferably, said depression is constituted by a channel extending along said edge.

The figures of the appended drawing will make it clear how the invention can be implemented.

Figure 1 is a vertical sectional view of a toilet block according to the present invention.

Figure 3 is an enlarged view of the scuppering system according to the invention.

The ready-to-connect sanitary block shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 comprises a polyester casing 1 inside which are defined a shower cabinet 2 and a toilet cabinet 3.

In the shower cabinet 2 is provided a shower system 4 and, on the floor side, a water receiver 5.

In the bathroom 3 there is a sink 6, a bathroom cabinet 7 and a WC system 8.

The sanitary block is fitted at the factory and to make it work, all you need to do is make the necessary connections for water supply and waste water evacuation.

As can be seen in Figures 1 and 2, the shower cabinet 2 and the bathroom 3 are separated, on the floor side, by a projecting flange 9 and, in addition, can be separated from one of the 'other by a flexible curtain 10. The normal length of the curtain 10 is such that its lower edge 11 is lower than the upper edge 9' of the flange 9. Thus, in the normal position shown in Figure l, when a person takes a shower in the cabinet 2, the water splashed in the direction of the bathroom 3 meets the curtain 10, trickles along it and is received by the shower tray 5 to be eliminated by the scuppers 12 thereof .

However, given the flexibility of the curtain 10, it is possible that the lower edge thereof is on the other side of the flange 9 (see position 10 'in Figure 3) so that the runoff spreads on the floor 13 of the bathroom 3.

To overcome this drawback, there is provided in the ground 13, a channel 14 extending along the rim 9 and provided with an opening 15 connected to the trough 12 of the shower tray 5 by a conduit 16 passing under the rim 9 .

Thus, whether the curtain 10 is in its normal position or in its position 10 ′ (see FIG. 3) the runoff water along the curtain 10 can be discharged by the drainage system of the shower base 5.

Of course, the channel 14, the opening 15 and the conduit 16 can be used to remove water spilled on the floor 13 for another reason than the runoff along the curtain 10.

Claims (2)

CLAIMS 1.- Sanitary block ready to be connected and comprising an envelope delimiting a shower cabinet and a toilet, separated from the side of the floor by a projecting ledge and capable of being isolated from each other by a flexible curtain, the floor of said shower cabinet being provided with a water drainage culvert, characterized in that the bathroom floor is provided with a depression, the bottom of which comprises at least one drainage opening connected to the culvert of the shower cabinet by an exhaust duct passing under the said ledge. 2.- sanitary block according to claim 1, characterized in that said depression is constituted by a channel extending along said edge.
