Abstract

The lifting assembly for a Jacquard weaving loom comprises the jack, or lifting device and a support board. The jack is a flat rod with an injection moulded plastic tail at its base, and the support board has a slot for the tail guide, and a groove cut across the slot to support the base of the jack. The lifting assembly of the invention may be used on high speed Jacquard looms of both the open shed and the double lift types. The plastic tails may be moved up-and-down in the slots of the support board without breakage, even after long use.

The invention relates to a set of a plate and a support board adapted to this plate for a Jacquard machine, the plate being provided at its foot with a plastic tail injected in one piece, the plate support including a tail guide hole.

From document DE-GM 7 108 172, a device is known for connecting the plates to the harness wires of a Jacquard device, this device being constituted by a plate with two branches of metallic wire hanger with at its foot a tail in plastic material injected in one piece and a tail guide hole made in the plate support plate. The support surface between the base of the plate and the plate supporting the plates is flat and forms a right angle with the guide hole in the support plate, so that the plate cannot practically be moved upwards. and downward only perpendicular to the plane of this support board to avoid blockage.

 This known device cannot be used for Jacquard machines with open pitch and double lift because in this case the plates moved in high crowd are articulated on a high crowd grid on which they are then deposited by a high crowd spout. when they have to stay in large crowds. With the known device, the tail would lock in its guide hole and tear. In addition, in Jacquard machines with open pitch and double lifting at high speed, plates recently made use of flat bars have been used instead of plates with two branches of wire hanger. The greatest resistant moment of these bars is oriented in the direction of the main needles and they are therefore tilted, when ordered by the main needles, around their base resting on the grid with plates. These plates in the form of bars therefore require , at their fulcrum, a kind of articulation that the known device does not have either.

Consequently, the aim of the invention is to arrange the plate and the plate supporting the plates so that they can be applied in a Jacquard machine with open pitch and double lift.

To this end, the invention relates to an assembly of the above type, characterized in that the plate constituted by a flat bar comprises a foot widened by the plastic material and rounded on its narrow front face, in that the tail has a section flat disposed in the plane of the plate, and in that a gutter-shaped recess is provided in the support board for the foot, this recess being cut by a slot for guiding the tail.

 According to one practical embodiment, the tail guide slot can open outside the recess in an enlarged part in the form of a keyhole through which the plates can be guided during assembly and disassembly.

The advantage of the plate arranged in accordance with the invention with the associated plate support plate is that it can also be applied in a high speed Jacquard machine of the open step and double lift type because the enlarged and rounded foot constitutes a precise articulation with the gutter-shaped recess of the turntable support board and that, during the articulation movement on the high crowd grid, the tail can move in the slot without being broken after a long service life .

 A plate 1 constituted by a flat bar is assembled at its base 2 with a tail 3 made of plastic material injected in one piece. The plate 1 has at its upper part nozzles 4 and 5 folded laterally from its plane, these nozzles cooperating with knives 6 moved up and down.

The plates 1 are then moved, by the main needles 7 of a needle mechanism not otherwise shown, in the movement path of the knives 6 and out of this trajectory.
