Description

The present invention relates to dobbies and other mechanical weaving of the negative type and it relates more particularly to the drawing device interposed between each of the operating members of said mechanical and the corresponding heald frame mounted on the combined weaving machine.

It is known that a negative type of armor mechanism ensures positive control of the frames in only one direction of their alternating travel, so that it is necessary to provide elastic means which are tensioned during positive actuation so as to operate the recall of each frame as soon as the corresponding mechanical operating member ceases its action.

In practice, these elastic means consist of registers comprising a sheet of springs held between two staples, one of which is suitably secured to the fixed structure of the weaving machine, while the other is made integral either with the end of the control cable coupled to each heald frame, or of the oscillating return lever disposed on the path of said cable between the frame and the damper. Document EP-A-0 335 811 (Staubli) illustrates this prior technique well.

It should be noted here that to allow weaving machines to operate at very high speeds, there is currently a tendency to resort to increasingly powerful registers, which has the effect of making them more and more frequent as well. the rupture of the springs of said registers that the breakage of the control cables. However, the repair of these operating incidents is difficult because it involves the disassembly and subsequent reassembly of a large number of springs on which a very high tension is exerted.

It is this drawback that the present invention intends to remedy, which relates to the drawing device which is defined in claims 1 and 2. Other characteristics of the invention are defined in claims 3 and 4.

In fact, the invention essentially consists in engaging inside the guide slides the axis which supports each set of oscillating return levers and in associating to said axis actuation means arranged to effect its transverse movement in said slides and, subsequently, the momentary relaxation of the damper springs and the control cables for intervention at their level.

In fig. 1, reference 1 designates one of the heald frames mounted on a weaving machine. Each frame 1 is made laterally integral with a control cable 2, one end of which is secured to one of the operating members of the armor mechanism, while the opposite end is returned to one of a series of oscillating levers 3 before being fixed to a register 4. In the usual way, each register 4 comprises a sheet of vertical springs 5 which are hooked to an upper clip 6 fixed to the end of the cable 2 below the lever 3 corresponding, and to a lower clip 7 held in place by a rack 8 secured to a vertical structure 9 of the weaving machine.

The set of levers 3, in number equal to that of the heald frames 1 of the weaving machine envisaged, is mounted to oscillate on a horizontal axis 10 established in a circular section so that said levers 3, made integral with the cable 2 by means of a fastener such as 3a, can rotate freely on said axis.

According to the invention, the axis 10 is supported by the two vertical structures 9 of the weaving machine by means of two vertical flanges 11, fixed to the top of said structures in the manner illustrated in FIG. 2. Each flange 11 is cut out from an elongated lumen 11 a whose longitudinal axis is oriented obliquely relative to the vertical axis of the frame 2, as shown in FIG. 3. The lumen 11 a is established at a width such that it forms a slide for the corresponding end of the axis 10 which passes through it.

3.For the displacement of the axis 10 in the lights or slides 11 a along the longitudinal axis thereof, use is made, at each flange 11, of a screw 12 which passes through a perforation 11 b provided in the flange envisaged along the axis of the lumen 11 a , to be screwed into a thread 10 a formed diametrically in each of the ends of the axis 10, as clearly illustrated in FIG. 3.

When the weaving machine is operating, the support axis 10 of the oscillating levers 3 is in the high position inside the slides 11 a , in the manner shown in FIG. 1. At this high position, the upper clip 6 is distant by a height H from the fixed lower clip 7, so that the springs 5 of the set of registers 4 are under tension and therefore ensure their function well : the lowering of the frames 1 under the effect of the positive control exerted by the cables 2 generates an overvoltage of the registers 4 which resiliently bring said frames back to the high position as soon as the mechanical operating members cease their positive movement.

For an intervention at one of the registers 4 for the replacement of a spring 5 after rupture, or at one of the cables 2 for the replacement of a worn or cut cable, it suffices to the operator to angularly maneuver the screws 12 carried by the two flanges 11, so as to push down the axis 10 to the lower position illustrated in FIG. 4. It is understood that the lowering of this axis 10 to a height h causes the corresponding lowering of the upper clip 6 of all the registers 4, so that the springs 5 are relaxed, this relaxation obviously facilitating repair. Once once it has been operated, the screws 12 are maneuvered to bring the support axis 10 back to the high operating position.

It should be observed that as a result of the obliquity of the longitudinal axis of the lights or slides 11 a , the lowering of the axis 10 is accompanied by a horizontal displacement of value d , which has the effect of bring back in the direction of the structures 9 the portion of the cables 2 comprised between the attachment of these on the side of the heald frames 1 and the oscillating levers 3. The cables 2 therefore deviate from the frames 1, the extraction and implementation are thus considerably simplified.

When this systematic horizontal movement of the cables 2 due to the obliquity of the slides 11 is likely to prove to be troublesome, recourse may be had to the variant illustrated in FIG. 5. In the envisaged case, each flange 111 is hollowed out with a slide 111 has a substantially triangular advantage, the base of which has two indentations 111 b and 111 c which are profiled to selectively receive the corresponding end of the engaged axis 10 inside the aforementioned slide.

The operation of the screw 12 simultaneously associated with each flange 111 and the axis 10 makes it possible to lower the latter until it brings it into the imprint 111 b ; the vertical movement of this axis 10 then ensures the expansion of registers 4 and cables 2, without affecting the orientation of these cables. Against by, for disassembling frames 1, the operator transfers each end of the axis 10 of the two cavities 111 b at both fingerprints 111 c, which has the effect of moving the cables 2 of the frames 1.

It goes without saying that in such a case, the perforation made in the top of each flange 111 must be profiled to allow the orientation of the screw 12 to be modified.

The two cables 2 associated with each operating member 13 has mechanics 13 to ensure the control of the corresponding heald frame 1, are returned to wind on two levers 103 connected to said frame 1 by rods 15 and to the superstructure 14 by spring registers 4.

As in the embodiment according to fig. 1, each lateral set of levers 103 is carried by the same horizontal axis 10. The ends of the latter are engaged in lights or slides 109 a that it was assumed to be directly arranged in the vertical structure 109; at each end is associated a screw 12, the head of which bears against the edge of a perforation made in the above-mentioned structure 109.

In the case envisaged in fig. 6, the portion of the cable 2 between the corresponding lever 103 and the upper deflection pulley 16 is oriented vertically, like the axis of the damper 4. Each slide 109 a is oriented substantially vertically so that the lowering of the axis 10 and of the levers 103 during the operation of the screws 12 causes the springs of the registers 4 and the cables 2 to relax simultaneously.

In the variant considered in fig. 7, the axis of the end portion of each cable 2 defines an obtuse angle with the vertical axis of the corresponding register 4. In this case, the simultaneous expansion of the registers 4 and the cables 2 forces the lights or slides 109 a to be oriented along the bisector of the aforementioned angle.

It goes without saying that in all cases, one could imagine other means than the screws 12 to ensure the movement and immobilization of the support axis 10 relative to the registers 4 of the drawing device. One can in particular have recourse to small hydraulic cylinders.

It will also be observed that the invention is of course capable of being applied with advantage to the dobbies or other armor mechanics of the negative type in which the pulling device associated with each heald frame only comprises a single cable arranged so as to ensure by itself the actuation of the two oscillating levers provided for the operation of the envisaged frame, of the kind described in the document FR-A-2.680.182 (Staubli)
