Abstract

FIXING DEVICE FOR REMOVABLE SHIELDING ELEMENTS. AGAINST CLASSIC MOUNTING MODES, THE NEW SYSTEM IS DISTINGUISHED BY A CLEARLY SIMPLER ASSEMBLY AND THE POSSIBILITY OF EXCHANGING THE SHIELDING ELEMENTS, WHICH INCREASES THE MILITARY VALUE OF THE MACHINES.

Description

The subject of the invention is a fixing device for elements of

  removable armor to protect objects against projectile impacts, including battle tanks

or armored vehicles.

  There are known removable shielding elements assembled with the object to be protected by screwed members which pass through said elements. In such a screw connection, the protection

  desired is seriously compromised. In addition, the cost of controlling

the assembly is high.

  The object of the invention is to create a fastening device

  removable shielding elements providing maximum protection

  while minimizing the cost of control. This problem is solved, according to the invention, thanks to a device characterized

  in that the armor element has, at one of its ex-

  tremities, a substantially convex hooking profile, which adapts, at the moment of its introduction, to a centering zone of the object to be protected, in which it pivots to become one with said object after hooking, thanks to one or more orifices, one or more surfaces of aopuj bearing / vertical surfaces joining the prerequisites of the anchoring element and the centering zone of the object, while

  the shielding element has an assembly member which

  binds the other end of said element to the object to be protected.

  Removable shielding elements can now be mounted and exchanged more easily. This results in a considerable increase in the military value of the protected objects. In addition, the expenditure corresponding to the control of

  the fixing is reduced thanks to the device according to the invention.

  Fig.1 illustrates the attachment of a shielding element

  clearances, not shown, formed in said profile 4.

  Smooth surfaces 6a disposed on the profiled portions 3

  and 4, cooperate and are curved for this purpose. After the

  chage of the element 1, the latter is fixed, while antagonist bearing surfaces 6a, 6b, substantially vertical, provide a rigid positioning of the element 1 on the object
