Abstract

To prevent fraudulent alterations of credit or identity cards the areas provided for entry of individual data on the card are fixed with an adhesive having less strength than the adhesive on the plastic film which covers the card. If an attempt is made to peel off the plastics film covering the card the personal data adheres to the top film making falsification difficult. The card support (1) is manufactured from a conventional flexible glassy plastics, and permanent data (2) is printed on to it. Matt coated strips (4) are glued to the support with a weak adhesive.
