Abstract

The two or three port control valve can be operated manually or by fluid pressure. The central part of the of the valve has two chambers connected together at the outside. An obturator is positioned to float in the flow of fluid. A skirt is moved either through a handwheel (3) and a rack and pinion (4,16) or by differential fluid pressure through channels (10) passing through the end plates (6) and the centre spigot (13) into chambers (11,12) either side of a piston (15) attached to the skirt. Pref. there is a spring (17) on one side of the piston (15).

Pour obtenir une manoeuvre de 1'obturateur par fluide il suffit de faire circuler un fluide dans les trous IO, ce qui va occasionner une pression dans une des chambres il et 12, suivant que l'on désire manoeuvrer vers la droite ou vers la gauche, cette pression va provoquer le déplacement de l'obtura- teur et la fermeture de l'un ou l'autre des orifices 7 ou 8.
