Abstract

A control lever for a fresh air ventilation system in a vehicle has the lever as pivoted about a horizontal axis behind the dashboard and with the knob of the lever on the outside of the dashboard. The lever moves in a vertical slot and has a telescopic design so that the knob follows a linear path along the slot, for a flush operation. The telescopic design has a flat insert section of the lever held inside a sleeve part of the other lever, formed by bent over tags by a slider attached to the knob moving along an angled groove on one side of the slot.
