Abstract

The loading mechanism consists of a central structure which houses a helical conveyor. The conveyor housing is enclosed in flexible bellows (21) and a sealing strip (20). A support beam (19) is actuated by hydraulic cylinders and the hatch is covered with a tarpaulin (13) supported on brackets below the hatch opening. The central structure can move across the hatch opening (26) which remains sealed. The central structure with the beam (19) is supported from a gantry which lowers the assembly onto the hatch opening.
