Abstract

In a domestic appliance, such as a clothes/dishes washer or a drier or a refrigerator/freezer or garbage compressor, the panel for the operating and indicating units engages in a recess in the front plate, with an adjustable height positioning. The unit sits in the thick-walled front plate, with a frame round the unit to cover its edges. The design allows the appliance to be fitted into place alongside other units, to give a uniform unit height. The panel body is fitted with a ratchet so that the body and the frame click into place, and is mounted as the end of a drawer in the upper section of the appliance front plate.
