Abstract

The drum brake, partic. for motorcycles and bicycles has a body with cam-operated shoes pressed against spring action against the inside of the drum. The cam (9) turns on a spindle in the body (1), on which each shoe (12, 13) is mounted by means of a further spindle (10, 11). Each shoe pivots about its respective spindle in the same direction. The free end of each shoe can be attached by a return spring (15a, 15b) to the spindle of the other one.
