Abstract

The wheel hub (1) is centred on an axle (3) and has an annular roller housing (6) at the back of which is the shallow dish (5). Roller bearings (4) are free to rotate in the housing and support the shaped bearing piece (7). The U shaped ring (8) is soldered onto the wall of the housing (6) near its opening, the arms of the U being parallel to the axle. Between the bearing (7) and the nut (9) is the disc (10) with rebated edges which fit precisely into the U-shaped ring forming the bearing housing seal.
