Abstract

The spring clip enables a fixing to be made to building cladding without having to puncture the cladding. The clip (1) is shaped to suit the profile of the building member (3) to which the item is to be fixed. The clip has an inbuilt elasticity, so that by locating the end (16) over the building member with the flat base (10) arched, the clip can be sprung into a positive and firm location under the clamping action of the lug (15). Objects can be fixed to the cladding by a self tapping screw through the hole in the base and the threaded hole in the top. This clip enables fixings to be made from one side of the cladding.
