Abstract

Article comprises at least two layers joined by thermo-soldering, one being an impermeable material of low melting point and the other an absorbent material. It is prepd. by superimposing the layers and passing them between heated cylinders. Particular applications are using thick elastic foam as the impermeable material, the article being used to absorb-liquids or fats: or using a thermomouldable material as the impermeable material, the article being used for presentation or packing. Applications are cosmetic, hygienic and for wiping. The layers are firmly attached with the impermeable layer preventing contact with the skin and enabling total absorption.
