Abstract

The arrangement for testing hollow bodies for sealing has a sample chamber with sealing elements for holes in the sample body and a pressurised gas system. It enables compensation of errors due to differences in temp. between the sample body and its surroundings to body and seal deformation. The accuracy of measurement is increased w.r.t. conventional arrangements without requiring a complicated system for monitoring the gas pressure. An additional equaliser unit for the gas overpressure in the hollow body is a valve connected to the monitoring system for the gas flowing through the body in the event of a leak, with the atmos. and with the inside of the body. A time relay driving a control input of the valve has its input connected to the chamber.
