Abstract

A harness which allows a horse to be led either from the left or right-hand side consists of the usual type of harness with the addition of a strap. This additional strap is sewn to form a circular section at each end so that it can pass around pulleys which are attached by snap hooks to the main harness. The ends of the strap are attached to rings which can be attached to the snap hooks of the leading rein. The leading rein with double straps at one end is attached to the ring it is required to lead the horse from the opposite side, the snap hook on one of these straps is released and transferred to the hook before the second hook is released. A horse can be led from either the left or right side with this harness and in addition it is possible to change from one side to the other without releasing the horse from the leading rein.
