Abstract

Upright profile posts are engaged by horizontal transom profiles, the frame skeleton thus formed having panes, panels or other fillings, with sealing battens for these held by grooves in stem pieces on the posts. The structure is esp. for windows, doors, facades or swimming bath curtain elements. The post elements have a recess in the joint area for a transom element, incorporating the lengthways groove for the sealing batten at this level. At an interval behind this groove there is a second lengthways groove, or other holder, to support this batten on the recess length. This provides a completely sealed frame construction, together with adequate compensation for expansion.
