Abstract

The thermal film shrinker has a rectangular or square frame and four burners associated with the air passages so as to form a curtain of hot air at 450 degrees c. The distance between the burners and the frame is maintained constant and the vertical movement of the burners also remains constant. The film is first shrunk around the base of the frame and the air is circulated by centrifugal fans in the system. The burners are raised over the surface of the wrapper at constant speed.
